Demo in Långedrag

Recently, Infotiv's internal project team gathered in Långedrag to demonstrate their contribution to the Eyes On Scenen 2 (EOS2) development project, a launcher platform for automatic firing of a fixed-wing drone.

The project has been a collaboration with academia and industry, with the participating parties RISE, the Swedish Sea Rescue Society, Chalmers University of Technology, Remote Aero and Smartplanes. The aim of the project, funded by the Swedish Transport Administration, has been to develop a drone system that supports rescue personnel in BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line Of Sight) operations at sea to increase the safety and efficiency of sea rescue.

The development of this drone launcher has engaged many at Infotiv over the years as part of the EOS and EOS2 research projects, as well as thesis and internships in disciplines such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, software testing and mechanical engineering.
