Infotiv invest further in the Mälardalen region
Infotiv has acquired Mertil Teknikinformation, which has its focus in the train industry. This acquisition of Mertil Teknikinformation with its offices in Västerås consolidates Infotiv’s presence in the Mälardalen region, as Infotiv already has offices in Södertälje.
”Mertil´s expertise and customer base gives Infotiv increased breadth as a supplier of technical documentation services to the vehicle industry. This increases our presence in Mälardalen, a region with good potential for expansion,” said Alf Berntsson, Infotiv’s CEO.
The acquisition of Mertil Teknikinformation is a result of the strategic work that Infotiv pursues in order to become one of the major players within technical documentation in Sweden. We offer services within technical information, education and training, visualisation and design.
”Infotiv’s activities in Södertälje are also focused on the vehicle industry. Currently there is an urgent requirement for personnel with expertise within technical documentation and electronics, as well as software and hardware development both in Södertälje and at Mertil Teknikinformation in Västerås. We currently solve the personnel shortage by basing our assignments at our offices in Gothenburg, or by commuting to Mälardalen. Our aim however is to recruit new staff locally, ” said Mikael Bill, Managing Director of Infotiv’s subsidiary, Information and Design.
Infotiv is already represented in Gothenburg, Trollhättan, Södertälje and Beijing. The organisation has expanded rapidly and plans on further recruitment at all its offices in order to meet increased demand for our services.
